Off-Track Using Public Transport

This is not exactly an off-track using designated sport car, as some of you might only have seen it in sport report in television. However, for me, I can judge that I was experiencing that off-track sensation when I was in a public transport, the infamous, Sepadan. Hehehe.

I had business trip to Saribu Dolok today. That was my first time to go there. After making appointment with my client, I asked some of my friends who know the place about how to get there. They recommended that I have to go to Siantar first from my place (Laguboti, Toba Samosir). I can use the service of either Medan Raya Tour (MRT), Koperasi Bintang Tapanuli (KBT), or Karya Agung. Then, I have to stop at Simpang Dua, Pematang Siantar. There, I can choose to ride Sepadan car leaving for Saribu Dolok.

It took around 1 hour and 30 minutes to be arrived at Saribu Dolok. During the trip, I can’t help not to fix my sitting position because almost every two seconds, the car was against the holes in the road, head-to-head.

The road was not very good, very bumpy. You can find many holes in the road, almost all the time. Surprisingly (yes, I know, I was being cynical :D ), you can’t ignore the hole as the driver keep driving the car with “normal” speed as if there was no problem with the road. No intention to to avoid them.

Well, I can finally know what it feels to be the person who is on one of those off-track car. This is a new experience for me and I recommended the trip if want to experience something “off-track”. The big price is that you can also ride the same car to go to some beautiful places in North Sumatra, namely Tongging Hill, Haranggaol, Sipiso-piso Waterfall, Kabanjahe, and Berastagi. FYI, it costs me IDR 20000 from Laguboti to Pematang Siantar (Simpang Dua) and IDR 12000 from Pematang Siantar to Saribu Dolok.

Lastly, I experienced the “shaking and crumbling” for about three hours in one day. I felt like an scrambled egg right now :) )
